◼ HDI growth in 2023 has slowed from the previous year. Slowdown is also experienced by all dimensions forming HDI.
◼ On the dimensions of longevity and healthy living, babies born in 2023 have an expectation to live up to 74.85 years, an increase of 0.27 years compared to those born in the previous year. The data source of life expectancy at birth uses Long Form SP2020 (SP2020-LF) results.
◼ In the knowledge dimension, the expected length of schooling (HLS) of residents aged 7 years increased by 0.01 years compared to the previous year, from 13.61 to 13.62, years, while the average length of schooling (RLS) of residents aged 25 years and over also increased by 0.01 years, from 8.23 years to 8.24 years in 2023.
